January Informational Tour — AutonomyWorks

Writer: Linda HallLinda Hall

Our January Informational Tour took us to Downers Grove for a visit with AutonomyWorks.

AutonomyWorks was founded to create job opportunities for individuals with autism and others with similar abilities by partnering with leading companies in need of high-quality operations support. Some of their client services include digital marketing, transaction processing, quality assurance, and data management, and they have recently expanded to provide manufacturing jobs as well. Their mission is to change the way the world views people with autism.

AutonomyWorks has over 70 employees in three different work areas: computer work on site, computer work remotely from home, and warehouse work at Suncast in Batavia. They look to hire motivated individuals who have a high attention to detail, enjoy repetitive tasks, and can maintain focus for long periods of time; knowledge of Excel is required for some jobs. More details about current employment positions are shown below.

Many thanks to Julie Janowitz and Karrie Pece for planning and facilitating our tour and to the AutonomyWorks employees for sharing their stories. You can learn more about AutonomyWorks by visiting their website at:
