October Info Tour

Thank you to the Clearbrook CHOICE program for allowing us to tour their Park Ridge location on October 26. 

CHOICE is a licensed adult day-program with three suburban locations (Park Ridge, Crystal Lake and Evanston). The Park Ridge location opened in January of 2016 and currently has 24 participants. The program operates from 9:00-3:00 on a flexible schedule and maintains a 4:1 staff ratio. There is a nurse on staff from 10:00-2:00.

CHOICE allows clients to choose their own areas of interest while utilizing community-based opportunities for employment, volunteering, socializing and leisure activities. The calendar that we saw for October offered a wide-range of volunteer opportunities at sites such as Feed My Starving Children, Meals on Wheels, and the Wings Resale Shop. Additionally, we learned that the program is committed to finding a job for participants who want one and will provide job coaching for an additional fee.
